Ambient temperature and birth outcomes: State of knowledge and next steps

 

Dr. Gohlke is a Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.  She received her BS in Biology from University of Michigan and PhD from University of Washington Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences. Her research to date has utilized a range of developmental toxicology and environmental epidemiology techniques. She is currently examining birth outcomes associated with large-scale environmental changes across urban and rural landscapes, particularly as it relates to climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. She collaborates with earth scientists, environmental engineers, geographers, computer scientists, and statisticians.
