Zoom Webinar

Dr. Rogers will be present on Unexpected Outcomes of Nitrate Exposure during Embryogenesis and Dr. Grodzki will be present on The Organophosphorus Pesticide Chlorpyrifos Induces Sex-Specific Airway Hyperreactivity in Rats.

Dr. Crystal Rogers is an assistant professor in the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Cell Biology in the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis. She received her PhD in Developmental Biology at Georgetown University. The Rogers Lab focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive early cell fate specification and migration decisions in vertebrate embryos. Dr. Rogers received 2020 UC Davis EHSC Pilot Award for a project titled Identifying the effects of nitrate exposure on embryonic development.

Dr. Ana Grodzki is an associate project scientist in the Department of Molecular Biosciences, as well as a member of the Lein laboratory, where she studies neuro-immune interactions in the pathogenesis of diverse environmentally-induced diseases. During her time at UC Davis, she has expanded her research skills to include the investigation of mechanisms contributing to pesticide-induced airway hyperreactivity. Dr. Grodzki received 2017 UC Davis EHSC Pilot Award for a project titled Developmental exposure to organophosphorus pesticides to evaluate airway hyperreactivity.
