The UC Davis Environmental Health Sciences Center (EHSC) is currently calling for nominations to fill an EHS Scholar position that begins on April 1, 2019. While a nomination isn't required for faculty to apply, we welcome input from campus leaders and center directors to help us find potential candidates.
All applicants need to submit a personal statement and two letters of support, including one from their chair. The EHS Scholar Award includes salary support and research expenses up to $30,000.
To be considered eligible, the nominee must be:
- A current or prospective faculty member or equivalent with PI status as defined by the UC Davis Sponsored Programs Office
- Either an early stage investigator or established investigator new to environmental health science, whose expertise and research interests align with the strategic vision of EHSC and further the mission of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences
An early stage investigator is within 10 years of completing a terminal research degree or medical residency or equivalent.
An established investigator new to environmental health science has an established research program but hasn't conducted environmental health science research before.
