Making California communities the priority in environmental health research

The Community Engagement Core (CEC) and Community Stakeholder Advisory Committee (CSTAC) work hand-in-hand to prioritize research that best addresses the most important environmental health problems faced by Californians today.

These priorities help guide scientists wanting to promote community health and well-being in their work, and are part of an annual call for proposals in the Environmental Health Sciences Center’s (EHSC) Pilot Projects Program. The CEC coordinates input from community-based organizations to develop research priorities so scientists can consider them when developing their pilot projects.
